  • Not sure about the black screen but if it doesn't automatically go to fullscreen and you installed Guest Additions you might need to check your BIOS and make sure virtualization technology (vt-d) is enabled. Your right ctrl key will toggle control between your host and guest for mouse and keyboard.
  • I created new VM for the latest Linux Mint 19.3 which was installed successfully but after reboot the screen was black. No matter of changing or resizing the window. I decided to install the older working version and see if the problem is solved. But again - successful install followed by black screen after boot of the machine.

Dying light crack. Genymotion black screen: Failed to connect to VM (TcpStream) for main host connection, IP:Port=192.168.56.101:25000 1 VT-x isn't available & No Hyper-V manager on Windows 10.

Host OS: Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.1
Guest OS: Linux Mint Mate 19.3
I have been using the guest machine just fine, even a few days ago. However, just now I added the shared folder back (I have turned it on and off regularly). I set it as auto mount, read only, and I did not specify a mount point (I think this is how I have always done it).
Instead of booting, it just stays on a black screen, with a blinking cursor in the upper left.

I am trying to figure out what went wrong. There could have been an update that caused this.
Booting

Also, I can't exit (hot key + F1, F2, etc don't do anything, selecting ACPI shutdown from the menu doesn't do anything).

Edit: To get me out of there here is what I did. From the menu, I 'paused' and then I chose 'close,' and 'save machine state.'
